The purpose of MyData Global is to empower people by improving their right to self-determination regarding their personal data. This mission and our principles are described in the MyData Declaration.
MyData Global has over 100 organisation members and close to 400 individual members from over 40 countries on six continents. We facilitate the MyData community of thousands of experts all working on the ethical use of personal data. Our flagship event is the global MyData Conference held in Helsinki, Finland, since 2016.
Join MyData and let’s make it happen and make it right!
The human-centric paradigm is aimed at a fair, sustainable, and prosperous digital society, where the sharing of personal data is based on trust as well as balanced relationship between individuals and organisations.
We believe it is time to publicly assert the values that drive us – and call on those who share the values to act upon them. The essence of the MyData movement is captured in the MyData Declaration.
The shifts and principles that we lay out in the Declaration aim at restoring balance and moving towards a human-centric vision of personal data. Join us in creating the MyData movement. Read, Sign, and Promote the Declaration.
