MyData Case Library

MyData is NOT one concrete service, platform or a product.

It is an alternative vision with the core idea that individuals should be in control of their own data.

The MyData approach aims at strengthening digital human rights while opening new opportunities for businesses to develop innovative personal data based services. All built on mutual trust.

This vision is currently being made real all around the world, and across sectors. Some of the examples are seen below, and more will come.

The following practical examples are complementing the MyData Declaration.

Step by step we are building a more fair, sustainable, and prosperous digital society.

Case Library

How does it work?

1. IDENTIFY & COLLECT

We’re collecting potential cases in our public repository in Trello

Do you have a case to add to the list? Let us know via hello(at)mydata.org or in the #make-it-happen Slack channel.

2. INTERVIEW

Anybody from the MyData Community can use the Interview Template to study an identified Case.

Please get in touch with hello@mydata.org for further instructions.

3. PUBLISH

Once the summary of the interview has been confirmed with the Case Author, we will automatically transfer the information to Airtable database, and the case will be viewable here at mydata.org/cases

What do you think? Useful? Not so much?

Let’s make it better!

This is the MVP version of the Case Library, with more cases in the pipeline.

Our main goal is to build an interactive, constantly evolving and hence sustainable repository for different examples how MyData is applied across the world.

In order to develop in further, we need YOUR support!

  • What additional information would be most useful for you?
  • How would you like to filter the cases once there are 20, 50, 100 cases in the library?
  • Would you like to continue discussing over those cases?
    etc

Please share your honest and constructive feedback for creating an useful tool for YOU!
